Safety Tips

1-Meet in person, if you can

When you buy or sale your stuff its recommended Meeting public places

we lewach.com encourage meeting up in person, if you can, to complete your transactions. It’s harder to get duped if you buy and sell in person: As a buyer, you can inspect the product before handing over the money; as a seller, you can pocket the cash right there. You won’t have to worry about lost or damaged packages, either. Just be sure to take all the proper precautions before the exchange, like picking a public place—many police stations offer meet up spots. It’s also not a bad idea to let a friend or family member know where you’re heading.

2-Be smart. If a deal looks too good to be true, it probably is.

3-Take a close look at the user profile

Before closing a deal, assess the information on that person’s profile. It should be complete, with all fields addressed and a photo of the user. Lewach app or Lewach.com allow people to leave feedback on a buyer or seller; scan these reviews for potential red flags. If you read anything that sounds fishy, find another buyer or seller.

4-Ask for photos of the product

Also ask the seller to include something in the photo that proves it was taken recently, like a sticky note with your name or the date next to the thing you want to buy. If they’re unwilling or unable to follow through on your request, take your business elsewhere. When buying a pricier antique, vintage, or luxury item, Depop’s Rose recommends that you always ask for certificates of authenticity, serial numbers, and pictures of labels and stitching to ensure you’re getting the real deal.

5-Always report the scammer

If you feel a buyer or seller is out to take advantage of folks, alert the admins of the Lewach app .
